Durood After ‘Asr on Friday”

On Friday after ‘Asr prayer, reciting Durood Shareef brings great virtue: 80 years of sins are forgiven, and the reward of 80 years of worship is granted. This is a significant merit, as sending blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ on Fridays is one of the most virtuous deeds and will be a means of intercession on the Day of Judgment. Hadith:
According to the narration of Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA) and Hazrat Sahl bin Abdullah (RA), whoever recites the following Durood Shareef 80 times after the Friday ‘Asr prayer, before leaving his place, will have 80 years of sins forgiven and 80 years of worship written for him.

The Durood to Be Recited

اَللّٰھُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدِ النَّبِیِّ الْاُمِّیِّ وَعَلٰی آلِہ وَسَلِّمْ تَسْلِیْماً
(O Allah! Send blessings upon Muhammad, the unlettered Prophet, and upon his family, and grant them peace completely.)
