🌿 The Lost Child and the Merciful Father
One evening, a little boy wandered away from his home and got lost in the forest. Scared and alone, he cried, wishing he had never left his father’s side.
Meanwhile, his father searched frantically, calling out his name with tears in his eyes. Hours later, when the father finally found his son, he didn’t scold him. Instead, he ran to him, hugged him tightly, and comforted him with love.
The boy asked, “Father, why didn’t you punish me for running away?”
The father smiled and said, “Because I love you more than I was hurt by your mistake. I only wanted you back, safe in my arms.”
✨ Lesson
This story reflects Allah’s love for us.
Even when we wander away from Him through sins and forgetfulness, He does not abandon us. Instead, He calls us back through reminders, tests, and mercy.
The Prophet ﷺ once told his companions about a mother who, after losing her child and finding him again, held him tightly without thinking of punishing him. He ﷺ said:
👉 “Allah is more merciful to His servants than this mother is to her child.” (Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim)
🌸 Reflection
Allah loves us more than any parent loves their child.
He forgives when we turn back to Him.
His love is constant, even when we make mistakes.
So, no matter how lost we feel, Allah’s love is always there—waiting for us to return to Him.
