Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA) narrates: One day I went out with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) while my hand was in his hand. He passed by a man who was very distressed and in a miserable condition. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked him: “What has brought you to this state?”
The man replied: “Illness and poverty have caused this.”
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Shall I not teach you some words? If you recite them, your illness and poverty will leave you.”
Then he taught him the following words:
After some time, the Prophet (ﷺ) again passed by that way and found the man in a good condition. The Prophet (ﷺ) expressed happiness, and the man said: “Since the time you taught me those words, I have been reciting them regularly.”
